The GARC was fortunate to host Dan Hall VK4DNO, Icom Australia’s Business Development Manager and Product Manager for Amateur Radio products. Dan was the first presenter in the GARC’s newly renovated meeting room.
Dan delivered a fascinating presentation to members beginning with Icom‘s history, from the company’s humble beginnings in 1954 to a world leader in amateur, aviation, marine, and land mobile communications product manufacturing today. He then took us through the architecture and features of Icom‘s current flagship HF radio, the IC-7760. Dan also gave us an early look at the soon-to-be-released IC-7300 Mk2, before taking questions from the floor on Icom’s current lineup.
GARC members and visitors also had the opportunity to get hands-on with the new radios.
