The results of the 2025 Oceania DX Contest have recently been released.
Congratulations to club member David VK3BDX whose contest callsign is VK3C. He achieved first place in the High Power 20M Phone category. David’s score of 63,315 placed him first in Australia and also in Oceania overall. A superb result.
The GARC has again won the Australia Club Plaque. As announced on the Oceania DX Contest website,![]()
The Australia Club plaque is awarded to the local club from Australia with the greatest number of member stations making at least 50 valid QSOs in the Phone or CW sections in the contest. The Geelong Amateur Radio Club has again won this plaque with 19 eligible entries from VK3ACR (PH), VK3AIK (PH), VK3AN (PH), VK3BCL (PH), VK3C (CW+PH), VK3DL (CW+PH), VK3JCC (PH), VK3NX (CW+PH) VK3PK (PH), VK3PY (PH), VK3SM (PH), VK3TU (CW+PH) VK3WK (CW+PH) and VK3YGO (PH).
Well done to all GARC members who participated in the contest. A number of members entered the contest for the first time and contributed to our joint success while developing their station and operating skills for future contests.
